PainFree Legs, Bones, Joints and Feet

I used to suffer from weak, painful legs from the knees down and at times not being able to walk without crutches or a wheelchair.

I have taken most treatments on the planet including allopathic pills, little homoeopathic pills, herbs, Bach flowers, tried acupressure and acupuncture, massage, supplements, diet changes, electrical stimulation, radiofrequency treatment, Chiropractic treatments, and many others. I did not even know the name of what was causing the pain. Researching my symptoms, in addition to the doctor’s diagnoses, I looked at all possible diseases and causes which had a variety of names including Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetic Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and plain old, old-age.

The bottom line was the pain, pain, in the legs, ankles and feet.

I create simple solutions from difficult scientific studies and discoveries. I am then able to understand what I must do to self-heal. I share only the simple solutions I have found for myself, not all the complicated logic behind my summaries. Years of research and applying what I learnt from treating myself, I am now documenting only the solutions I have found for myself. I am not a doctor nor a health practitioner, this is my personal path towards pain-free legs, knees, ankles and feet, hopefully, avoiding you having to research for decades, or even die in pain.

My solution in hindsight is simple.

The human body is like an organic garden, designed and created to perfection. What I came to understand was how the bodily systems and their cells work and talk together. I came to realise the solution for painful legs, joints and feet lay with following the path back to the original “garden” and not the last area causing the end symptoms. Let me unfold the simple reasoning for my conclusions for treating the painful symptoms.

This entire process is ongoing, so join my weekly email journey covering the latest discoveries and giving more detail in applying the solutions by downloading my free eBook: “Grow Yourself To Health”, from my website – click here.

The understanding of the outcome.

Pain in the legs and feet are common problems responsible for countless doctors’ visits each year. Unless the cause is pinpointed to a fall, injury, or something obvious, identifying the source of the pain requires you to trace through the systems over time documenting your diet and areas of pain. To take regular frequency scans, blood tests, dry blood analysis or “poop” analysis takes years off research of trial and error experimentation. Hopefully, I can also shorten your time by sharing my story and outcome. Let us start with aliens living in your gut.

The role of the microbiome in painful legs.

Your gut microbiome is a game changer. Trillions of microbes live in us; we are their host. These bugs are part of us and healthy for us unless you allow inflammation into your systems. My bone and leg pain started here. The microbiome represents the totality of micro-organisms, and their complete set of DNAs, including all its genes. A microbiome is the ecological community of living, symbiotic, and pathogenic microorganisms that share our body space. These micro-organisms living in us have learnt and evolved to extract the energy they require to survive; and in exchange, they support our physical, metabolic and immune capacities that have contributed to our evolutionary health-success.

The human body is host to around 100 trillion microbe cells including bacteria, viruses and fungi. They outnumber the human cells in the body 10 to 1. So, I guess, we are only 10% human. I regard it as a “newly discovered organ” since its existence was not generally recognised until recently and it is understood to have a potentially overwhelming impact on human health and leg pain. This world of foreign residents in us plays a fundamental role in the induction, training and function of our immune system. In return, our immune system maintains the collaborative relationship with these highly diverse and evolving little fellows for them to live peacefully within us. This co-operative relationship is vital to our sore legs, bones, joints and feet.

When operating optimally, this immune system-microbiota alliance protects our body from pathogens and is fundamental to our leg health. However, overuse of antibiotics and fast-food murders our good partners.  It is good-bye to balanced immune responses, allowing harmful bacteria and viruses to enter and take residence in our body. This phenomenon accounts for the dramatic rise in cardiovascular, autoimmune, inflammatory and fragile leg disorders in parts of the modern world where our symbiotic relationship with the microbiota has been the most affected.

We shout about our doctors treating only the symptoms, so we look for the cause, but, who looks for the reason of the cause? You may have a painful joint, the cause is a malfunctioning kidney; but do you look for the reason the kidney is not working at optimum levels? It is not complicated; we are now able to get down to the basic foundations of cellular health called the endocannabinoid system.

DNA, Endocannabinoid System and Nucleotides.

It regulates and fine-tunes most of our vital physiological functions, bringing balance to everything. Joint and leg pain rely on this system to repair the damaged caused over the years. Scientists are still discovering new aspects of this system. I will continue to bring you the latest information via my weekly emails regarding leg, joint, bone and foot pain. Our body is jam-packed full of DNA and nucleotides. The DNA in each cell of the body consists of 3 billion nucleotides. This is serious information, our lives and treating our painful legs, bones and joints, depend on them. Nucleotides have a wide variety of functions in the DNA and RNA.  One primary purpose is to provide the thermodynamic driving force for several chemical reactions. Keeping them happy is essential to our well-being.

What does the endocannabinoid system (ECS) do?

What scientists have realised is that the endocannabinoid system regulates and fine-tunes most of our vital physiological functions, bringing balance to everything from sleep, appetite, pain, inflammation, memory, mood and even reproduction. So, in basic terms, it’s like a conductor of an orchestra, ensuring that no one section is drowning out the other, with the result being a perfectly harmonised symphony between body and mind. Your ECS does this vital work through complex communication & regulation mechanisms, at cellular, tissue, gland, organ, and brain levels. Our ECS system, with its complex actions in our immune system, nervous system, liver, kidney, thyroid systems, is a bridge between body and mind. By feeding this system with the nutrients it thrives on, it will play its part in promoting healthy legs, bones, joints, feet or diseased legs.

On average, everyone needs at least 90 nutrients to maintain optimum health, including 59 minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 amino acids and three essential fatty acids? However, consuming good tasting food and sipping a lot of vitamin pills does not guarantee absorption or use of these vital nutrients.

For a comprehensive list of which vegetable and meat contain which nutrient, look at my website: Daily 101 diet principles to understand.

Vitamin absorption eventually turned out to be basic lesson 101 for painful legs, bones, joints and feet. I was not absorbing the nutrients in my supplements, nor from my vegetables and in one case I had “overload” of the nutrients causing its problems in my sore body and legs. This is important work for your health and self-healing. That’s why it’s vital that the ECS becomes as much part of daily self-healing as the immune system in treating painful legs, bones, joints and feet.

Endocrine System:

If you are feeding your gut with the full diversity of vitamins and all the other nutrients found in my solution, your endocrine will be able to chemically control the various functions of cells, tissues, and organs through the secretion of hormones. For example:

  • Thyroid secretion controls the liver which has much to do with pain in the bones, joints and feet.
  • The Pituitary secretion controls the thyroid gland which regulates the liver. Fatty liver starts with the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus controls the pituitary gland. A damaged liver may cause painful legs, but that liver may be defective because of the wrong messages coming from the hypothalamus, or the pituitary or the thyroid gland. So, we go back to my basic solution starting with healing the microbiome.

The Solution on how I set myself up to have pain-free legs, knees, ankles and feet.

I treated my sore legs, ankles, feet, arthritis, osteoarthritis and my other diseases by learning to breed good bacteria in my gut. I self-healed my leaky gut; I built my microbiome into a robust, balanced environment which then built my immune system into a potent fighting machine. Part of this self-healing process was working with the microbiome, endocannabinoid and endocrine systems. I will discuss why each of the actions I take in more detail in my weekly email – it’s far too much detail for this article, subscribe on my website: michaelplumstead.com and download my free eBook “Grow Yourself to Health” at the same time.

My first daily step

is to drink a glass of room temperature, fresh lemon juice, with structured water, on waking in the morning before going for a brisk walk with my wife. I squeeze the lemon juice a week in advance and keep it in the fridge.

My second daily step

is to eat about three tablespoons of stewed red-skinned apples without their pips but with their skin and as much cinnamon as is tasty, every day between meals or at night time before retiring. I make this a week in advance and keep it refrigerated if I run out, I substituent with any fresh apple. But an apple a day is essential.

My third daily step

is to ensure you get pre and probiotic foods into your stomach. A great way to start immediately is by taking a fresh liquid pre-and probiotic drink. Just make sure it’s high quality and alive – not tablets. I also have fermented vegetables in the refrigerator like sauerkraut, which I take a forkful before every meal. I make my own kombucha to drink with breakfast and through the day because of its delicious taste. Eating fermented foods is a MUST every day. Diversity is the key to total health in this category, pickled onions, pickled fish, full-fat yoghurt with probiotics, pickled cucumbers and everything pickled you see, buy it, eat it. Your microbiome will reward you hands down, and your immune system will love you.

My fourth daily step

is to consume bone broth either by itself as a soup, or on any of my main meals. It contains:

  • Glucosamine, which is a sugar naturally produced by the body. It is one of the building blocks of cartilage. Cartilage covers and protects the ends of the bones, allowing bones to move smoothly against each other.
  • Chondroitin, which is also a natural substance found in the body. It helps draw water and nutrients into the cartilage, keeping it spongy and healthy.
  • Hyaluronic acid, which is a polysaccharide molecule which is one of the chief components of connective tissue, forming a gelatinous matrix that surrounds cells. Relieves joint pain by keeping bones well lubricated. Hyaluronic acid is also found in the joints, where it holds the space between your bones well oiled.

All-in-all, it turns out these remarkable health benefits occur from the amino acids and collagen produced from making the meat stock. The three acids reduce bone, joint and muscle pain, and so much more. Bone broth is essential to take at least four times a week.

My fifth daily step

is to Grow Sprouts, Microgreens and nutritious veggies in pots. Recent research and from my own experience and healing, has shown that home-grown microgreens and sprouts pack a major punch when it comes to nutrition and contain even more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than their full-sized counterparts. Health department researches around the world show that microgreens have 20 times more concentrated nutrients than the fully-grown plant. I now grow veggies in pots on my veranda, sprout seeds in the kitchen and grow microgreen in my sunny laundry. I have a free eBook about how I started veggies in containers when you subscribe to my emails. The diversity of the microbiota is related to the diversity of the diet, which relies on your growing a diversity of microgreens – we need diversity to ensure our sore legs get the “subtle chemicals” they need.

Download my free eBook on growing veggies in pots, and you will also start receiving my weekly emails about how to grow microgreens and other healthy aspects for people with aching legs, bones, joints and feet.

Growing certain vegetables in pots on my balcony helps me with butyrate and fulvic acid, which are power foundations in building the Microbiome and Endocannabinoid systems. Butyric acid supports the health and healing of cells in the small and large intestine. It’s also the favoured source of fuel for the cells lining the interior of the microbiome. It is also a strong blood anti-inflammatory. When we consume resistant starch, it remains “resistant” to digestion until it reaches the lower intestines, where our colon bacteria begin to consume it. Once these starches have fermented, the by-product is butyric Acid. In general, Short chain fatty acids like butyric acid will have a very positive impact on gut health, which significantly affects the health of bones, muscle, joints, legs and feet.

My sixth step

is the daily eating of “resistant starch”. Resistant starch is a non-digestible prebiotic starch. Eat a serving every day with any other food – essential in the solution. The main reason why resistant starch works is because it functions like soluble, fermentable fibre. It goes through your stomach and small intestine undigested, eventually reaching your colon where it feeds your friendly gut bacteria in your intestine which is 10% human. Whereas most foods feed only 10% of your cells, fermentable fibres and resistant starches feed the other 90%. Resistant starch feeds the friendly bacteria in your intestine, having a positive effect on the type of bacteria as well as their number. When the bacteria digest resistant starches, they form several compounds, including short-chain fatty acids, most notably butyrate. It also balances the pH and calms blood inflammation.

Resistant starch forms when certain foods are boiled and left to cool. Think potatoes, rice, pasta, chickpeas, beans, peas, and lentils. When these foods cool in the fridge, the starch crystallises making them resistant to digestion and therefore, reaching the large intestine intact. Or for a go-to option, eat sushi.

My seventh step

is to drink structured water throughout the day. Water has been considered one of the most vital compounds to sustaining life. Its properties are unique, and at times, can have dramatic effects, but the water itself has always been regarded as a safe, functional part of biological processes until through urbanisation, we started damming it, purifying it with chemicals and bottling it. Recent developments in the sciences have resulted in some astonishing, and unexpected discoveries. One of these is the fact that water can have a different structure under some circumstances. Water molecules bond to each other in different ways, forming different geometrical structures. These are triggered by different environmental situations. For the body to be able to use water, the ‘globs’ need to be small enough to pass through the cell membranes. Larger groups will need to be broken down to be used, making the body expend resources and the result is not always effective. Structured water can pass through without alteration, making it a much more efficient form of water for biological purposes.

The human body is a dynamic of waterworks. It runs primarily on water, air, and minerals. The human body is around 78% water.  Our brain is our body’s power plant. Though it requires air to function correctly, it is pure water that provides the brain’s structure. Every life-giving process that occurs in our body happens through the water. Water structuring devices can break water clusters down to one molecule, allowing for better hydration for humans, animals and plants. The smaller clusters make it easy for the water to align itself into the single file needed to enter the cell – that’s why hydration is increased by drinking and bathing in structured water.

The solution is to buy a device. You can purchase water structuring units all over the world. I use the CellQuicken EnviroVibe. Their technology takes structuring water to a whole new level. Their standard Structured Water Units geometrically allow water to structure and purify itself on a molecular level to bring you highly charged water with a cleaner memory state.

Your body does not have to work so hard breaking down molecules while trying to deal with chemical and other pollutions. Part of the solution to becoming pain-free is maximum hydration in the brain and the legs.

My eighth step

Eat one different root vegetable per day – beets, sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrots, onions, turnips, ginger, garlic, radishes, fennel, celery, parsnips or turmeric.  Each plant produces different good bacteria and a unique set of health benefits – remember, diversity is key. Look for different colours of veggies. Use vegetables to replace grain while you are healing from any ailment.

 Conclusion.

Has it ever happened to you, that you are eating a healthy diet, taking supplements and still lacking in health? So, you start taking more supplements for the problem areas, and yet it still does not work. It happened to me. The reason behind it is that your gut is not recognising nor able to digest nor use these supplements or, perhaps, it needed complementary nutrients to be active.

Rheumatoid arthritis symptoms are caused by the loss of cartilage in joints, inflamed tissue surrounding joints and a tightening gap between bones due to swelling. Synovial fluid that normally lubricates joints starts to thicken and swell, while at the same time cartilage loss causes increased friction between joints and bones. The result is that joints become unable to move smoothly — weak, stiff, lose or unstable — and the buffering space between bones can become smaller, which limits the range of motion.

In summary, I discovered, using a diversity of microgreens, lemon water, fermented foods, bone broth, stewed apples, resistant starch, root vegetables and structured water, was the key to my healing of painful legs, bones, joints, feet – remember diversity of everything above.

There was one challenge, I needed to speed up the process of growing back to health. As happens, when you are open to it, by sheer coincidence, I met a scientist that was manufacturing a natural product that contained the nutrients that I needed to speed up my healing process including fulvic acid. It was so successful that I have decided to market it and share it with the world. This product has helped me quick-start the most painful times; I highly recommend taking it with my food solution. It indeed is a must – look at the ingredients here: Michael’s supplement
